God wants to accomplish a great work in the lives and through the lives of His people. But some look at Jesus’ second coming not with anticipation, but with fear. Adventists need hope—assurance—not only that they can endure the fierce physical hardships of the time of trouble, but more important, that they can be spiritually prepared for that time.
Preparation for the end time is not nearly the frightening impossibility that many of us think it is. God is on our side. Jesus, our Mediator, is doing everything possible in the heavenly sanctuary to help us make it through.
In The Refiner’s Fire, Marvin Moore writes of his own personal expression of faith in the Adventist movement. Marvin has tried to clarify the issues rather than debate them and encourages each reader to approach what he says in the same spirit.
